A wellness sanctuary in your own home - How to create a spa feeling at home

Oh, how I love the thermal baths with their healing springs – floating in the water all day, sauna, facial, massage. Blissful...who doesn't enjoy that? Such a break is truly wonderful. Unfortunately, very few of us have daily access to a spa. But if you still want to treat yourself, these tips will help you easily bring a little spa feeling into your own home.

1) Wait and see

Enjoying a leisurely cup of tea first thing in the morning allows you to wake up relaxed and comfortably. The warmth and selected herbs ensure a pleasant start to the day.

2) Stretching

Put your teacup aside for a few minutes and stretch out properly. A few simple stretches will help you start the day mindfully. Tune in to your body and enjoy the pleasant feeling of suddenly being lighter and more flexible.

3) Extensive aromatherapy shower

A long shower is already a mood booster. Shower tablets with natural essential oils take it to the next level – a true pampering experience for all the senses. Depending on your mood, choose a relaxing , inspiring , invigorating, or refreshing scent.

4) Candlelight

Fire has an incredibly calming effect. I could gaze into the flames forever – it's simply fascinating. A few candles create an absolutely cozy atmosphere.

5) Beauty program

After showering, our pores are open and ready for skincare. Apply a face mask, shape your eyebrows, or do your nails. Thanks to warm water, everything works much better and leaves you feeling good in your skin.

6) Take a deep breath

Ventilate the room thoroughly and consciously breathe in the fresh air. In everyday life, we often breathe far too shallowly due to stress and tension. Sit on a comfortable cushion, close your eyes, and count slowly to five. Inhale while counting, and then exhale on the count of another five. As you do this, let go of all troubling thoughts by thinking "Let go" with each inhale and "Let go" with each exhale. After just 5-10 minutes, you will already feel much calmer and more relaxed.

7) Knead once, please

Everything is so much better with a partner. Invite your best friend or partner and give each other massages. The soothing touches with fragrant oil will relax your muscles and even calm your "monkey mind."

We're constantly reachable and always want to know everything. This is both a blessing and a curse, because always being online subconsciously triggers stress within us. Today, take time just for yourself and switch off your phone. Instead, pick up a good book.

9) Food Heaven

Cook your favorite dish and savor it with all your senses. Cooking can be incredibly calming and evokes the positive feeling of having created something. Set the table beautifully and enjoy every bite without the distraction of your smartphone or television. A true blessing.

10) Music on – World off
