Waltz7 is known for her love of wonderful fragrances. In weather like this, we'd love to spend all day under a hot shower, trying out every shower bomb we could find. Well, unfortunately, you can't shower for days on end. But we have another great and fabulously fragrant idea to make winter days cozier... and get you in the Christmas spirit...
In this blog, we now have recipes for your own personal fragrance experience in your apartment or house, called "Stovetop Potpourri." Simply grab a few ingredients, add water, heat it up, and it will smell wonderful. We have a few ideas here about which fragrance combinations smell best and have the greatest effect.

Orange, berries, cinnamon
We'll start with a classic potpourri that brightens up cold days. It's also a great way to use up frozen berries that you might not otherwise know what to do with.
Ingredients:
1 orange (although mandarins or clementines also work wonderfully)
½ bag of frozen berries
3 cinnamon sticks
Slice the orange and place it in a pot with the berries and cinnamon sticks. Fill with water so that the ingredients are covered. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to low. As long as there is liquid in the pot and nothing burns, it will smell wonderful for hours!

Apple Cider
Anyone who prefers to drink apple punch in winter, or simply loves the scent of baked apples, shouldn't miss this potpourri!
Ingredients:
2 apples
3 cinnamon sticks
Ground or whole cardamom
3-5 star anise
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 bottle of cider
Slice the apples and place them in a pot with the spices. You can add ground or whole cardamom pods; we recommend using four. Pour a bottle or can of cider over the mixture, top it up with water, and bring it back to a boil. Perfect for impressing guests with a wonderful aroma when you're hosting a gathering.

Rosemary, lemon, cinnamon
Prefer a fresh scent? This potpourri is a bit more neutral, especially if you simply omit the cinnamon or add vanilla instead.
Ingredients:
2 lemons
6 sprigs of rosemary or 2 tablespoons of dried rosemary
Optional: 1 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp vanilla extract
Slice the lemons and add all the spices. Pour over water, bring to a boil, and enjoy the fresh scent! If this potpourri has whetted your appetite for rosemary, then try our newest Rosemary-Mint Shower Bomb!
Gingerbread
This recipe is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit and enjoying cookies without a guilty conscience!
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons maple syrup
Fresh ginger
1 tsp nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tbsp cloves
Mix all ingredients with water in a pot. Bring to a boil and smell the gingerbread without being tempted to eat too many cookies.
Holiday Mix
This recipe is also a great way to get into the Christmas spirit! Perfect for sipping punch and enjoying the pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Ingredients:
1 Orange
2 cinnamon sticks
2 pine branches
1 tbsp cloves
1 star anise
1 tsp nutmeg
Slice the orange, add the other spices, and cover with water. You can simply take the pine branches from the garden or pluck them from an Advent wreath! If you have a Christmas tree in the living room, you can also take some from there.
These recipes are also perfect as gifts! Simply put the ingredients from each recipe into an empty, clean jam jar and decorate it with a pretty ribbon! It's that easy, and in just a few minutes you'll have a wonderful aromatherapy experience in your own home, or some unique gifts ready to go.
