The Power of Scents - How Scents Affect Body, Mind and Soul
Scents have a direct effect on our limbic system, where they evoke memories and feelings. Everyone knows this: even in the dead of winter, the scent of a particular sunscreen, for example, can remind you of the beach and the sea...
Fragrances have been proven to have a strong influence on our well-being and mood, and are therefore increasingly being used strategically. Department stores try to induce a veritable shopping frenzy with fragrance concepts, and aromatherapy also makes use of time-tested active ingredients for the nose. Essential oils are often used to alleviate or enhance well-being.

Our shower tablets are also made with high-quality, natural essential oils.
We all probably have our favorite scent. Here's some background information on the purported effects of fragrances. That explains a lot for me!
Lavender, a classic among essential oils, strengthens the nerves and promotes relaxation and balance. It can work wonders for nervous tension, melancholy, and headaches. Lavender also promotes restful sleep. A tip from my grandmother: A few drops of the essential oil on your pillow can help with sleep problems.
The aromatic scent of lemongrass stimulates all the senses and is very refreshing. It also has an anxiety-relieving and mood-lifting effect. So it's the perfect pick-me-up when we're feeling a bit lethargic.
Refreshing, memory-boosting in cases of fatigue, and strengthens concentration. Furthermore, mint has a liberating and soothing effect on colds or migraines.
The scent of pine needles is stimulating and invigorating. Furthermore, it counteracts weakness and helps with listlessness, stress, and nervousness. A classic from the Alps.
This exotic fragrance has a relaxing effect and helps with inner restlessness, anxiety, and imbalance.
Listlessness, tension, and sleep disturbances. Ylang-ylang is not only a true mood booster, but also has aphrodisiac properties...so please be careful! ;-)
So, what do I use and when?

Depending on my mood and the situation, I use: In the morning to wake up Refreshing Mint , Lemongrass before an important meeting , and Loving Ylang-Ylang with my sweetheart ;-) The latter is my absolute favorite, sparkling, simply amazing! Feel free to tell me your favorite scent...!
Fragrant greetings, Marie xx
