1. Create a permanent workplace for yourself
The first, and probably most important, point on our list is setting up your home office. It's essential that you establish a dedicated workspace at home. This space will be reserved exclusively for work and other productive or creative activities for the next few days. It's important that your body and mind can adjust to functioning as soon as you sit down at this spot. Everything else in your home should remain a home and not remind you of work. Even if working on the couch sounds tempting, try to motivate yourself to use your personal home office . After all, the couch is meant for relaxation. Your body also knows that the couch represents comfort . So, if you work there, it won't be as effective. And once your body has become accustomed to the sofa as your workspace, it won't be as relaxing there anymore!

2. Communication – Even in isolation
Even when you're physically separated, communication remains the key to a good team . When you're not together, it's all the more important to know how to best coordinate and who should take on which tasks . While meeting virtually is more cumbersome than quickly popping into the next office with a question, that's just how it is – we all have to get through this . Besides, it's always nice to hear from or even see your work friend again. And even if you're sitting alone in front of your computer, you don't have to keep your worries , ideas , or suggestions to yourself.
3. Dress to impress: Yourself
How can you make it even easier to get into your perfect home office routine ? Get ready in the morning just like you always do. Of course, you don't need to dress up for any important meetings , but something other than your pajamas is definitely a plus ;) So try to stick to your normal routine, or even create a new one . If you feel like it and need a change from sweatpants, then get ready for your next virtual meeting. Looking nice gives you a completely different feeling !

4. Fixed working hours
Another important aspect of working from home is, of course, fixed working hours . Just as you have a little morning routine every day, you should also establish a work routine. Naturally, you have more flexibility now, since everything can be done from home. Unfortunately, this often leads to overworking or chaos because you don't have fixed hours. Therefore, make a plan at the beginning of each week to decide when you want to work, but also include your hobbies and leisure activities in the plan. This way, you'll maintain your routine in these areas as well. Of course, breaks are also part of this routine when you need them. To stay motivated, use these breaks to be active. Now you have the opportunity to go for a walk in the sunshine or participate in a yoga session that you might otherwise struggle to fit in. Make sure you're doing well and listen to your body !

5. Motivation!
Try to stay motivated ! We're all in the same boat, and it's perfectly okay to feel down sometimes ! As long as you know how to motivate yourself again, everything's fine! Exercise helps boost your mood, and a great meal with friends (even via laptop!!!) can really lift your spirits! If you need suggestions on how to treat yourself or how to pass the time at home, you'll find some ideas on our blog ! Remember, even though everything is different right now, in a few weeks everything will go back to normal .
